Sandal Boots: Love Them or Hate Them?

costa rica sandalLately, I’ve been feeling like my wardrobe is getting a bit boring.  I see adorable trends in magazines or on celebrities, but when it comes to my own personal style, I’m not much of a risk taker.

So, when I went shopping in Santa Barbara this past weekend and came upon this pair of sandals–that can also double as boots–I figured now was as good of a time as any to throw caution to the wind and make a style statement.  I found this pair of BP Costa Rica sandals at Nordstrom and plan to pair them with shorts, skirts and dresses–anything to add a bit more visual impact to bare legs.

While I was pleased with my little style statement, Husband did not share my joy. When I returned home from my shopping trip and showed him my purchase, he just stared at the shoes and said “Really? That’s what you got?”

So, I thought I’d share my shoes with all of you and ask what YOU think of them? Would you wear sandal boots (or, hooded and cuffed sandals, as Nordstrom.com classifies them)?

Ok, what’s funny is I can hear your hubby’s repsonse. So funny.

I don’t think I would actually ever wear those shoes, but I can picture them on you and I think they would look cute. They might be bothersome during really warm weather though.

    Can’t wait to hang out! :o )

This is so funny! My hubby works at Kohl’s and they got a bunch of shoes this style. I, personally, don’t understand them. I just can’t make myself buy them, let alone try them on. I do think that some people will be able to pull these off, but I don’t think I fall in that category. :)

I guess I should say why I thought this was “so funny”! lol Sorry! Its funny because my hubby and I had the same conversation about these shoes-whether or not they were cute or if people would wear them. Then we each gave our opinion of the shoes. :) I don’t think my coffee has kicked in yet! My brain is working faster than my fingers! haha!

They are very you, Jen! I wouldn’t wear them, although I do think they are cute and probably look adorable on you!

Jessica- Hehe! It’s so funny that you said they are very me! I think they are very NOT me, and I hope I can pull them off. Thanks for stopping by the blog!

Haha, he would not like them. Men. They looked so cute on you. I don’t think they would work on me because I do not have good legs which are mandatory to pull them off. They might grow on him after he sees them with a cute outfit. See you this weekend!
